Owee Gooey Chocolate Chip Cookies!

Oh my goodness! Yesterday we made the most amazing chocolate chip cookies on earth! For years my husband has been a chocolate chip cookie connoisseur and he would always try cookies at the restaurant we visited and I have finally created the perfect cookie!
So yeah, I know you’re thinking…another “my chocolate chip cookie is the best chocolate chip cookie blog.”
So soft and chewy!
So soft and chewy!
But seriously, this is! I have tried so many recipes and none of them even come close to touching the surface of this goodness! I mean, when they came out the over, my husband came over, took a bite, and said “yes, this is it!”
So guess what? Ill spare you the coloring and go ahead and get to the point!
Ingredients
❤️ ½ cup granulated sugar
❤️¾ cup light brown sugar, packed
❤️1 teaspoon salt
❤️½ cup unsalted butter, melted
❤️1 egg
❤️1 teaspoon vanilla extract
❤️1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
❤️½ teaspoon baking soda
❤️1 to 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (your choice, I like 1 cup)
Preparation
Get all your ingredients out at once! Don’t be the person that is running for each individual ingredient.

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the sugars (brown&white), salt, and butter until a paste forms.

  • Whisk in the egg and vanilla, beating until everything is mixed well.
  • Sift (yes sift!)in the flour and baking soda, then fold the mixture with a spatula (Be careful not to over mix, which would cause the flour to create tough & caky cookies).

  • Fold in the chocolate chips, then chill the dough for at least 30 minutes. We ran to church and when we got back, they were ready! The longer the dough rests, the more complex its flavor will be.

  • Preheat oven to 350°F & get out your best cookie sheet!
  • Scoop the dough with an ice-cream scoop onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet, leaving enough space from the edges of the pan so that the cookies can spread evenly unlike mind which mashed together!
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges have started to barely brown. Don’t forget, they still bake after the come out the oven. So if they’re still soft, that’s a good thing! Oh and if you’re a salty sweet person, sprinkle a little KOSHER (not table salt) over the top and enjoy!

  • Cool completely before & enjoy every oowee, chewy, gooey bite!
& don’t forget to fancy it up by adding ice-cream!
I hope you’ve enjoyed! Oh, and if you use my recipe…go ahead!  Don’t forget to tag me and leave a comment below!
XOXO Love, Erin Green
